We seem to be living in a time of puzzling extremes, usually of the unequal kind. This an era of technological achievement, unimaginable just one generation ago. In spite of this, vast numbers of us lack basic digital literacy. We want to bridge the digital divide so people can "catch fish for themselves", so to speak. Encouragingly, it turns out people pick up computing very quickly!
